Membership & Operations Platform

I built the public website, member portal, and admin dashboard for a private client. My work covered the architecture, frontend, server logic, database, access controls, integrations, testing, deployment, and production support.

  • Built layered session, capability, and PostgreSQL RLS authorization across member, administrative, and financial workflows.
  • Designed a recoverable membership lifecycle spanning applications, review, invitations, account setup, activation, and deactivation.
  • Integrated Anedot dues payments with authenticated webhook reconciliation for duplicate, delayed, reversed, and manually recorded payments.

Investment Firm · Client Website

Diospyros Capital

I designed and built the website for Diospyros Capital, an early-stage technology investment firm founded by Frank Pollaro.

I worked directly with Frank on the site’s structure, writing, and visual direction, then built and launched it in Next.js. I continue to support updates.

  • Working with the founder

Shaped the pages and content around the firm’s investment focus and audience.

  • Visual direction

Used the founder’s furniture and manufacturing background to inform the website’s look and story.

  • Development and launch

Built the responsive site, interactions, metadata, and deployment, with ongoing updates.

The founder

Frank Pollaro founded Diospyros after nearly four decades at Pollaro Custom Furniture. The firm invests family capital in manufacturing, robotics, defense, aerospace, materials, and technologies that connect software to the physical world.

Interactive Island Portfolio

I built this portfolio as a 3D island. Visitors explore the scene and select its objects to open the portfolio sections, which use accessible HTML interfaces.

  • Scene and interaction

React Three Fiber and Three.js, with Blender/GLB assets, custom ocean and sky rendering, lighting, shadows, and object selection.

  • Animal movement

Turtles and crabs follow the terrain, with animation blending, shoreline transitions, and ground contact. The turtle also leaves a wake in the water.

  • Performance

Demand-driven rendering, adaptive resolution, deferred loading, Meshopt compression, baked navigation, and repeatable verification tools.

About me

I’m a developer from New Jersey, and what I like most is taking an idea all the way to something that works.

I grew up in New Jersey and studied computer science at Stevens Institute of Technology, finishing my B.S. in May 2025. Stevens gave me the fundamentals I still rely on: how systems fit together, and how to work out why a piece of software behaves the way it does.

The part of the job I enjoy most is the problem solving. I like starting from a rough idea, figuring out what it actually needs to be, and working through the details until it’s real and running.

I keep a close eye on new AI tools, and AI-assisted development is a normal part of how I work now. It helps me move faster. My computer science background is what lets me check what it produces, understand it, and stay responsible for what ships.
